Le Rose Bride - Jocelyn

Le Rose Bride - Jocelyn

What is your name?

Jocelyn Price

Wedding date and location?

September 21, 2018. Ceremony: Tweed River Chapel. Reception: Ancora (with a sunset boat cruise on a Tweed Eco Cruises boat from the ceremony to reception!)

 How did he propose?

Ethan is a bit of a romantic himself, so he went all out with the proposal and it was so beautiful. I had spent the day out of town with my sister in law, she was in on it and I was completely oblivious.. We got back to my parents place at the end of the day (my parents live on the beach and we often hang out there and have bonfires or afternoon drinks on the beach), everyone was playing it cool and said we should go down to the beach for a bonfire and drinks at sunset. Ethan said him and I would go down first to collect some firewood. Once we got down to the beach Ethan wasn’t looking for any firewood which I thought was weird, but still didn’t click. He walked me along the waters edge and started acting a little strange.. Once we had walked about 100 metres I looked up and saw this beautiful beach picnic/bar set up where he had set up a fairy light canopy, a bonfire, a teepee decorated beautifully with cushions and blankets, the most amazing grazing board, music playing and a pop-up bar he had built himself with a menu of drinks that “reminded him of me”. One of Ethan’s friends was our “bartender” who made us our drinks of choice then had to “knock off” and left. The whole moment felt so surreal. Then Ethan stood me up, dropped to his knee, said the most beautiful speech which I don’t remember a word of (haha) and of course I said yes (once I could speak). I had no idea that my friend Catie (who is a photographer) was shooting the entire thing from the dunes so we have the whole thing captured beautifully. Then Ethan had arranged for my closest friends and family to join us on the beach afterwards to celebrate. It was the most amazing night, hence we didn’t have an official engagement party because how could you top that!

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

The most important aspect of our day was for it to be a true representation of us and our love. We wanted the day to feel like “us” and be real and authentic. We wanted it to be simple yet elegant and intimate with a romantic atmosphere and of course lots of delicious food!

How did you choose Le Rose for your wedding robes?

I came across Le Rose on instagram and loved the look of their robes and the vibe of the brand. The colour I chose for my bridesmaids robes was almost identical to the colour of their bridesmaids dresses which was a bonus! The robes are such a great quality and the Le Rose packaging was so beautiful too so I was really proud to gift my bridesmaids with their beautiful robes!

What did you like the most about your Le Rose robes?

The colour! And the beautiful packaging they came in. The robes are feminine yet sexy and I loved the silky feel of my robe - every girl feels amazing in beautiful sleepwear don’t they!

What was your favourite moment while getting ready in your robe?

I loved the entire morning of getting ready with my bridesmaids in our robes. It was such a relaxed, calm morning and I loved being surrounded by some of my favourite people on such an exciting and meaningful day. I really loved giving my bridesmaids their robes with a card I had written for each of them, it was a special moment for me to recognise some of the truly amazing women I have in my life. Once we all put our robes on it felt like the day had officially begun and the excitement really set in.

What wisdom or advice can you share to other Le Rose Brides?

It sounds cliche but just relax! Be sure to take time out throughout the day to step back and take it all in, I did this a few times throughout the day and night which really let it all sink in and the day didn’t feel like it just flew by. Make the most of the morning too, its the calm before the storm and staying calm and relaxed throughout the morning sets the tone for the rest of the day.
