Wedding date and location?

October 12, 2018 at The Grand Ivory in Leonard, Texas.

How did he propose?

I woke up to a note that said that Marc had made me an appointment to get my hair and makeup done and that he would meet me later that day at the same place we had met on our first date. He picked me up and we walked along the waterfront in Hoboken, New Jersey just like the end of our first date. Then he took me out onto the pier where we had our first kiss and asked me to marry him. One of the most memorable parts was that he actually wrote his proposal speech as a love note that I can keep forever on the same paper that he has written all other love notes to me including the one he wrote me on our wedding day!

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

The two main goals were for our love and personalities to shine through and to surprise our guests with all of the little details throughout the night. Our wedding was a destination wedding for most and many had never been to Texas so we wanted to make sure that we gave them a true Texas experience! We started out the wedding with a mariachi band leading our guests to cocktail hour after the ceremony. We created custom bars for cocktail hour that represented both of our personalities and each served drinks that match our personalities, prosecco & popsicle drinks for me and whiskey sweet tea for him.  After dinner surprises included a cotton candy machine, BBQ food truck, a donut wall, and more! The vendors I worked with were also very important to me because I knew if they truly love what they do their hard work would shine through and would make the décor that much better!

How did you choose Le Rose for your wedding robes?

I wanted to choose a robe I felt could be an heirloom for my children in the future and loved all of the different options that were available for every kind of bride.

What did you like the most about your Le Rose robes?

I loved the custom embroidery options (I got wifey on mine!)  and the beautiful lace on the Lauren robe. I also loved the cute bag they came in and how flattering they were on me and all of my bridesmaids.

Were there funny moments from the day?

There are so many and I am so thankful that I have some of these funny moments to remember and laugh at now. The first of the day was when I was getting my hair and makeup done and my photographer asked to take a picture of me wearing my shoes, they said “I do”. I then realized one of my toe nails was missing nail polish, this was the first time I tried gel on my toes, never again! I sent my dad a picture of my foot and sent him on the task of getting the perfect shade of white to match. He came back 30 minutes later with the exact shade of nail polish only a girl dad could pull off! Then my sister painted my one toe nail!

It rained on our wedding day so that surly cased a lot of funny moments including my husband carrying my Manolo Blahnik’s and many photos with our wedding planner behind us carrying the train of my dress! During the ceremony, our officiant forgot to have us read our own vows and I had to admit I was a little bummed we didn’t get to read them however later in the night our photo/video team came up with the idea to have them read them privately. We went back to the open air chapel where we had said I do hours before and made those special promises to each other, I could not have thought of a more perfect and romantic moment to end our night.

What was your favorite moment while getting ready in your robe?

This is so hard because there are so many! It was spending the morning with my best friends and sisters in the bridal cottage drinking mimosas, dancing to 90’s pop, and watching everyone get glammed up. Getting ready on your wedding day is truly a once in a lifetime experience and that makes Le Rose robes even more special.

What wisdom or advice can you share to other Le Rose Brides?

Don’t sweat the small stuff! There will always be something that doesn’t go as planned but when you let it go and enjoy the moment you never know if the outcome might be better than your original thought! Try to enjoy every single moment because wedding planning and your wedding day will go by so fast! Take a moment to look at yourself as a bride and enjoy your moment as everything you ever hoped it would be.
