Le Rose Bride - Lauren

What is your name?

Lauren Czarniecki

Wedding date and location?

February 23, 2019. Palm Beach Florida. Reception at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island

How did he propose?

Michael was out of town for Valentine's day so he said we would do something special on Saturday when he was back in town. He planned a picnic under a big banyan tree in the palm beach marina. We sat there for a little and then he got up and proposed. He had a secret photographer there who took photos of us during the proposal. Then we went to Cafe Boloud at the Brazilian Court for a drink because he said we had dinner reservations somewhere else he was taking me to.

Then we went to Costa in Palm Beach (not there anymore) and my family, best friend and her family, and Michael's family were all there waiting for us and for the big surprise, we had a beautiful dinner in their private wine room.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

I wanted the wedding to feel like “Old World Romance”; so traditional, soft and curvy and more frilly than I usually am. There is a scene in Sofia Coppola’s movie Marie Antoinette where they’re out in the tent with the chandeliers and everyone is in finery and I was like, I want my wedding to feel like that.

How did you choose Le Rose for your wedding PJs?

The bridesmaid dresses were blush and I wanted something comfortable for them to wear while they were getting ready. So I started googling and I found LE ROSE Power Bloom long satin sleep sets which were super cute. I liked the floral pattern. It kind of looks like a tattoo to me. It was more of an edgy floral instead of being super sweet. I gave each of my bridesmaids a pair, along with a pair of earrings in a really cute sugar paper box.

What did you like the most about your Le Rose PJs?

They were really damn comfortable. Surprisingly so. One of the bridesmaids was pregnant and had just “popped” and I warned that if they didn’t fit—her bridesmaid dress had to be taken out—she needed to suck it up for the photo but they fit perfectly! She wore them all morning while they were getting ready.

Were there funny moments from the day?

We had a lot of fun moments when we were getting ready but one that sticks out in my mind is when I was getting my hair and makeup done, we were getting close on time and my friends were all wanting to make sure I ate something - I had some fries that were there and I wasn't able to open my eyes (I think my eyelashes were drying) and my girlfriends were feeding me the fries with my eyes closed.

What was your favourite moment while getting ready in your PJs?

My favourite moment when I was getting ready in our PJs were the fun photos we took on the bed altogether, we just had a lot of fun hanging out and being silly in those moments...oh and popping the champagne of course!

What wisdom or advice can you share to other Le Rose Brides?

Try to relax and soak everything in, the day really goes by so fast and its nice to take a moment and just appreciate all the time and effort that you've spent planning your wedding, all the special people that have made time to come celebrate with you and all your closest friends and family around you on such a special day and moment in your life. And have fun!
