Le Rose Bride - Jessie

What is your name?

Jessie Middelbosch

Wedding date and location?

We were married on 11/05/19 at Summergrove Estate

How did he propose?

Before leaving for our big European trip, Brad filmed a beautiful 20-minute video asking our closest family members their thoughts of him proposing to me. Brad gave me this video to watch just before getting down on one knee under the northern lights in Iceland. It felt and still feels like an absolute dream!

What was your goal for your wedding/what was the most important aspect to you?

The goal of our wedding was to be able to fully relax and enjoy our special day together without worrying about anything, therefore it was important to us that everything ran as smoothly as possible on the day. Thankfully most things did and we were able to completely immerse ourselves in the magic of our wedding day!

How did you choose Le Rose for your wedding?

I had been following Le Rose on Instagram ever since my friend gave me a “will you be my bridesmaid” package from Le Rose. I absolutely loved the gifts that I had received and thought that these would be perfect for my bridesmaids too!

What did you like most about your Le Rose Pyjamas?

They were very comfortable and look great in all our getting ready wedding photos. I also like the fact that they were embroidered with each of our initials – I thought this added a beautiful personalized touch.

Were there any funny moments from the day?

Plenty! Our ceremony was light-hearted and had some funny moments, for example, one of my bridesmaids absolutely cried her eyes out as she walked down the aisle (which everyone had a giggle at). One of our speeches at the reception given by my sister in law was about how to legally sedate my husband – that bought many giggles to the crowd. Another funny moment was when dad and I did our father/daughter dance – we started off as a normal father/daughter dance then broke out into a fun choreographed dance to 'Hot in here' by Nelly, 'Can't touch this', 'Gangnam style' among many other songs. It was a real hit!

What was your favouite moment while getting ready in your Le Rose Pyjamas?

Favourite moment in my Le Rose Pyjamas would have to be when the girls and I were getting our hair and make up done, everyone just looked and felt really excited for what’s to come and it was a really nice part of the day.

What wisdom or advice can you share to other Le Rose Brides?

The day goes so quickly so make sure you take time to take it all in, especially with your husband (afterall youv’e probably spent a good year planning this day, you want to remember it all). Everyone wants to talk to you and as nice as it is, it can also be overwhelming so again take some time (just you and your husband) to have some space away from the crowd. And above all have fun and don’t sweat the small stuff on the day.
