How did he propose?

After being together for nearly 7 years, Mish knew he had to think of something out of the box to surprise and catch me off guard. After visiting the jewelry shop looking for earrings for my mums 60th birthday, I was waiting for the jeweler to bring out more options and he suggested I try some rings on for fun while he runs out the back to bring out other earrings . I tried on a few rings and then my partner put a ring on my finger and held my hand, looked into my eyes and said what about this one babe… I was in love with this ring and said it’s just beautiful! Then he grabbed my other hand and said Bub will you marry me.. I was in total shock. I looked at both him and the jeweler and said what!… he then said this is your engagement ring I designed… Will you marry me.. Of course I said a BIG YES and the tears and laughter followed. It was honestly such a magical/nontraditional proposal .. which is so us. Mish said he didn’t even plan on proposing that day, but something came over him when I was sitting there that he just had to do it then and there in the moment. I felt like I was in a movie.

Then he prepared dinner celebrations with some close friends afterwards to celebrate our big news. It was beyond perfect.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you

We had 8 months to plan the big day and being together for a while we both new what type of wedding we wanted to create. Mish had already designed our mood board straight away so it certainly helped with the planning process. We planned the whole wedding overseas as we live abroad. Our goal was to have a romantic whimsical wedding but one hell of a party that guests will remember forever! The most important things for us were to be unique, take inspiration from different platforms but ensure we have aspects of both of our traits/qualities throughout the whole day to keep it personal & intimate. We made sure that the most important things Eg venue, catering and music were Number 1 on the budget list. Also, I absolutely love flowers so for me that was a nonnegotiable when it came to planning and choosing our flower range & elements.

How did you choose Le Rose for your wedding robes?

I ordered Le Rose bridesmaid hampers for my ‘Bridesmaid proposal’ to the girls and new straight away after searching many other sites for the perfect getting ready robe that I would order these for the big day. I loved that you could choose everything and personalise them for that extra special touch.

What did you like the most about your Le Rose Robes?

The colour & lace detail tied in perfectly with our overall theme and also the high-quality material. They were amazing to wear.

Were there funny moments from the day?

There were many funny moments especially when you had two of your best friends as MCs the stories and speeches were hilarious…..however one of the first funny moments were  our twin flower girls. They both detoured from walking down the aisle and wanted to play on the swings! Thank god their mum and my other bridesmaid were onto it and picked them up to carry them down the aisle whilst everyone was clapping & laughing… It was so cute.

What was your favourite moment while getting ready in your Le Rose robes?

I loved the getting ready process. The girls looked so beautiful. We were all so relaxed and just enjoyed the little moments together and of course popping the bubbles just before walking down the aisle helped calm the nerves a lil…

What wisdom or advice can you share to the  other Le Rose Brides?

Don’t sweat the small stuff and just ENJOY every second. If you want to stick to traditions then do so, if you don’t then don’t. Do whatever makes you happy.

Stay true to what your priorities are as a couple and just enjoy the whole planning process. It’s honestly the best day of your life and will go by so quickly! It was a dream come true seeing all our loved ones come together. We are still on cloud 9 in our newlywed love bubble!
